Description
The Crow’s Nest is an intimate resort of individual villas among bougainvillea vines, hibiscus blooms and tall coconut palm trees, which face the famous Coral Coast living coral lagoon.
The villas are on terraces, each with a magnificent view of the lagoon and ocean. There is ample space - each villa has a split level design, with sleeping and living areas as well as cooking facilities. The décor is nautical because of the original owner’s love of the sea and this is especially evident in the poolside restaurant which is uniquely decorated with old charts, brass and copper artifacts, and antique ships accessories.
The resort has recently been extensively upgraded and refurbished to meet discerning standards, but maintains its nautical origins.
Whatever you decide to do during your stay with us at The Crow’s Nest, we will do our best to ensure that you enjoy your holiday as much as we enjoy providing you with the best service.
The Crow’s Nest ... where small is beautiful, and a whole lot friendlier!
Location
The Crow’s Nest Resort is located on Fiji’s famous Coral Coast, in the seaside community of Korotogo. Each of the cabins has a verandah overlooking the sea. The views of the fringing reef and lagoon are wonderful and the sunsets inspiring. The Coral Coast also enjoys one of the best climates in Fiji.
The Coral Coast is about 1 hour’s drive from the International Airport in Nadi. Transfers can be arranged both to and from Nadi Airport.
Tour coaches and buses also operates into nearby Sigatoka town, with its colourful market, shops and cafes.
Accommodation
The spacious, split-level villa-style accommodation is totally self-contained and fully air-conditioned, with all the facilities needed to make your stay as comfortable as possible. Our accommodation also includes a deluxe villa (ideal for honeymooners), and a new air-conditioned 8 person dormitory. Each villa has its own private balcony overlooking the beautiful ocean of the Coral Coast.
Cabins are named (and decorated) in tribute to ships that shaped Fiji’s history, and the spacious, split-level and totally self- contained units are indeed fitting accommodation for a captain. With bath and double-bed topside, fully furnished galley and two single beds on B deck, there’s room a’plenty for officer’s mates, too!
Dining & Entertainment
The restaurant, run by our friendly staff, offers breakfast, lunch and dinner. The new breakfast menu and the "All Day Dining" menu has simple but favourite fare for everyone. The chef will include specials on a regular basis when seafood is available from the local fishermen.
Activities
For those who wish to visit the local attractions and keep themselves busy, there are many activities to keep yourself occupied, and many things to see and do.
Reef-walking on the coral flats in front of the resort at low tide is an interesting activity for those who want to explore the reef and is also good for those who enjoy fishing. Or you may enjoy a spot of shopping in the town located only a few minutes away. You may also like to visit the Sigatoka sand dunes, which are renowned for their thousand- year-old pottery relics buried under the surface of the sand. These artifacts are of great archaeological value and historical significance. Sigatoka is also a great surfing spot and location of the famous sand dunes.
Or you may wish to take part in other activities such as golf, scuba diving or snorkeling. All tours can be organised through the Front Office Tour Desk. Other facilities at the Resort include a licensed Restaurant and Bar, Swimming Pool, a mini mart and small library.
