Location
Safari Lodge is located on the beautiful island of Nananu-I-Ra, just 10 mins off the mainland from Ellington Wharf on the Sunshine Coast of Fiji’s main island. Safari Island Lodge is located a short boat transfer away on beautiful Lomanisue Beach on Nananu-i-Ra island. Safari Lodge also operates Ellington Wharf, the main departure point to leave the main island to travel to the island, and it is an enjoyable 2 hr ride from Nadi International Airport.

Accommodation
Safari Island Lodge opened in April 2005 with our two storey Island Lodge. The Lodge offers a Private room (Queen bed) with balcony and water views, Shared upstairs room (4 singles) and a family room (2 doubles + 2 Singles).

Opened in April 2006 is our new Beachfront Bure & Ocean View Villa.

The Beachfront Bure consists of a Queen and double bunks, this is suitable for a couple or family. All traditional Fijian hardwood floors and walls, raised 2m off the ground makes this Bure spectacular! Private bathroom facilities, large front and rear decks and just 15m from the beach... paradise. The cool S.E. breezes + ceiling Fan provide plenty of airflow. Rest on your balcony on your Lounge Chairs or stroll onto the beach. Enjoy a Hot Water shower and modern facilities.

The Ocean View Villa has two seperate bedrooms, Queen beds in both and two single bunks in the second room. Self contained kitchen, fridge, stove / oven and all cooking requirements. A large 20ft Balcony deck offers panoramic views of the crystal blue waters and provides a great entertainment platform, complete with hammocks...

SAFARI LODGE is set amongst 2 acres, rising from the clear Blue waters lapping on a White Sandy Beach to an Ancient Fijian Lookout.

Dining & Entertainment
Safari Island Lodge offers a complete meal plan for you, offering 3 meals daily. Cooked and continental breakfast, fresh fruits etc. Lunch & Dinner is a variety of Indian, Fijian and Western dishes to tempt you...

Martha & Aseri - our Fijian Hostesses will look after you and prepare and serve your breakfast on the balcony and lunch and dinner. Bring your own alcohol and keep them cold in our guest fridge, ready for that afternoon deserved refreshment! Our new Restaurant, Shop complex opened in April 2006.

Activities
Activities are numerous, from Fishing to Diving, Windsurfing to Kitesurfing, beachcombing to outer reef Snorkelling adventures!!

We operate 12 boats, catering for dedicated Snorkeling Boat, Guest Transfer boats, Wakeboarding Boat, Waterskiing Boat, Kitesurfing Support boat, a Range of Fishing Boats and our famous Large Catamaran for Sunset cruises...

You can do as much or as little as you would like...

Diving
Safari Island Lodge offers world class diving in the virgin territory of Bligh Waters. Most of the dive sites are no more than 20 - 40 minutes by boat from the Island. The diving is world class; over 25 dive sites; coral walls, deep swim throughs, numerous bommies, extensive soft and hard corals and hundreds of fish providing a diversity of marine experiences seldom found in any one area of Fiji.

We offer morning two tank dives, additional afternoon dives and Night dives daily.

All levels of diver experience are catered for by Professional Staff including learn to Dive Certification. There are spectacular reefs surrounding the island with both soft and hard coral and an abundance of sealife. The water temperature rarely drops below 28 degrees and a Lycra suit is usually sufficient, however a wetsuit is recommended. Visibility, dependent upon the weather and dive sites, ranges from 20 - 60 metres. For the experienced diver, there are over twenty five dive sites to choose from. The reef area around the island contain Pinnacles, swimthroughs, canyons, tunnels, huge coral outcrops and some of the most beautiful soft corals that Fiji is well known for. There is so much reef area around the island that new sites are continously being discovered. For the new diver who wants to be certified, the Dive Club offers the PADI OPEN WATER CERTIFICATION course, which includes lectures, confines water training and four ocean dives over a period of four days.

Surfing
We offer WindSurfing and KiteSurfing activity packages. Come for a week in the Trade Wind season and experience Fiji’s only dedicated beach for Wind watersports.

Be taught by qualified instructors and professionals safely and enjoyably!!

All equipment, and instructors are available for you, either hourly, daily or weekly!

Groups & Conferences
Interested in holding a function at Ellington wharf? We cater for groups up to 50 people, and can provide Activities, Catering and a fantastic Water front location with large grassy areas for private large function Tents. Our waterfront Restaurant can also serve you fantastic meals, whether it be Lunch or Dinner from a couple to groups. Please email us direct from this listing to enquire about menus and options.

Spa Facilities
Are your arms sore from too much water sports ? Why not take a day off and pamper yourself at our relaxing Day Spa. Services on offer include Swedish Massage, Remedial Massage, Hairdressing, Body Scrub, Manicure/Pedicure, Milk Bath and Mini-Facials.

Fishing
The Bligh Waters and the numerous reefs within the local area provide a great opportunity for the various forms of Fishing. Our range of Fishing boats include 23ft Yamaha Boats with Yamaha Outboards, 25ft Yamaha Boats with Yamaha Outboards and Bertrum 20ft Offshore hull with Centre Console, Bimimi and 150hp Mercury. Whether its Game Fishing, Sport fishing or simply hanging a line over the side while your enjoying your friends company, we can take you to all the right spots. Early morning sunrise trips, evening sunset trips, 2 hour trips, 1/2 day trips and full day trips ensure you get the right amount of great Fishing enough to wet your appetite to return the following day. We provide Game Fishing and Sport Fishing and Hand Line Fishing.
