Scuba Bula was established in 1993 and has been providing first class Scuba diving and snorkeling services to Seashell@Momi clientele and tourists in the Nadi area ever since. Scuba Bula is dedicated to offering and providing the highest quality of diving and service available, whilst at all times protecting the environment in which we work and live. Scuba Bula aims to provide our clientele with an enjoyable holiday experience which they will repeat on a regular basis, as all their needs are catered for with an excellent quality of service.
Scuba Bula is a PADI 5 Star Dive Resort. PADI Five Star Dive Resorts promote the benefits of safe recreational scuba diving and snorkeling while embracing the PADI system of diver education, offering regular continuing education programs to ensure divers have the opportunity to advance their skills and knowledge. Scuba Bula has a 100% safety record and has received certificates of recognition of excellence from PADI.
In November 2008 Scuba Bula became Fiji’s first and only SDI and TDI 5 Star Dive Centre, one of only 4 in the entire South Pacific.
Scuba Bula is the only dive centre located on the west of Fiji that dives on the Outer Navula Barrier Reef. The nearest dive site is only 10 minutes away on one of our custom built dive boats. We have 22 Dive Sites – all with moorings, so no anchoring on the reef! The marine life is outstanding with a lot of visiting pelagic species as well as hundreds of species of resident reef fish. The coral is healthy with wide varieties of both hard and soft corals. The 2008 whale season was spectacular with numerous sightings of both Pilot Whales and Humpback Whales.

Scuba Bula and Seashell@Momi Surf and Dive Resort are located an easy 45 minutes drive from Nadi airport.

Dive Sites
Scuba Bula has 22 dive sites with moorings on the Navula Reef, either side of the Navula Passage. Below you will find descriptions of some of our fantastic sites, the closest being 10 mins from the dive centre;
Fish Wonders – 5-16 metres. An excellent site for beginners, photographers and Night Dives. Lots of coral bommies interspersed with sand and an 18th Century Anchor. Large schools of snapper, white tip reef sharks and occasional eagle rays.
Nursery – Max 22 metres. A superb soft coral wall with caves usually inhabited by Tawny Nurse Sharks. The dive finishes over a 12 metre coral garden with opportunities to see Turtles feeding.
Bat Cave - Max 38 metres. An underwater headland with 2 swimthroughs and a chimney. A resident school of Batfish is there to greet you as you exit the cave. Possibilities of Mantas, Eagle Rays, Turtles, Grey Reef Sharks, Hammerheads and other large pelagic species.
Rainbow Cascade – Max 30 metres. So named because of the multicoloured soft corals hanging from the wall. Dive begins with a lengthy swimthrough which exits mid way down a sheer wall. The area is prolific with all kinds of marine life. Good spot for Manta Rays in season.
Cathedral – Max 23 metres. Large overhangs with pristine hard corals and large patches of Ghost Coral. A good dive to see Turtles and large pelagic species. Even a Minke Whale has been seen on this one! No guarantees though!!
Turtle Totoka – 10–25 metres. Lots of inlets into the reef. The hard coral is pristine and Turtles abound. Breathtaking coral canyons to explore. Eagle Rays, Manta Rays, Nurse Sharks, Grey Reef Sharks and White Tips are frequently seen.
Manta Highway - Max 28 metres. A drift dive along the top of the second deeper reef with a good chance of seeing large groups of Manta Rays and the occasional whale shark.
Vonu Levu – Max 26 metres. A beautiful drift dive along the top of the second deeper reef. Turtles, Mantas and Eagle Rays abound. During the winter months a good place to spot whales.
Dive Equipment
All Scuba Bula’s diving equipment is serviced annually in accordance with FDOA Regulations.
All our staff are, trained Emergency First Responders, Emergency Oxygen Providers, Hazardous Marine Life First Aiders, FIMSA Registered Boat Masters and renewed and insured PADI professionals
Dive Courses
Scuba Bula is a member of PIRA (Padi International Resort Association) and the FDOA (Fiji Dive Operator Association). We offer Dive Courses from Complete Beginners to Assistant Instructor Level.
